For this blog post, I used The Ultimate General Sports Quiz, which is found on HowStuffWorks. The quiz covered many major moments, athletes, and teams in various sports, including basketball, football, baseball, soccer, boxing, and UFC. There were many questions about sports history, including championships, rivalries, and legendary athletes. I received a score of 14 out of 20, which is reasonable since I am a sports enthusiast, although not familiar with all sports history. To expand on this, I gave the quiz to a few of my friends and classmates, and most of them received between 10 and 15, depending on their level of sports enthusiasm. Those who only like one sport, such as only football or only basketball, struggled with the questions that were not about their sport. For instance, many of them got questions about boxing, hockey, and old events in the Olympics wrong. Those who read sports news every day or play fantasy sports got higher scores and felt confident about the questions about championships and sports stars. Comparing my score to my classmates scores helped me understand that this quiz rewards broad exposure rather than depth of knowledge about a particular sport. It also made me realize that sports knowledge is based on people's choices about what sports to watch and talk about. This quiz was effective because it differentiated well between casual fans and sports fans. It made me realize just how much sports history plays a role in understanding the sports world today.

What I Watch Aiden Jacob — January 21, 2026  — Unit 1 1) This is usually how my day starts around 9:00 AM. My roommate already has the TV on when I wake up, and it’s mostly just background noise while we get ready and talk for a bit before the day actually begins. 2)  Later in the day, this is what a lot of my screen time looks like. Is AI Making Sports Smarter… or Less Real? Sports have always depended on human judgment. Coaches rely on experience, scouts trust their instincts, and fans connect with the personalities and emotions of players. That unpredictability is part of what makes sports feel real. Recently, though, artificial intelligence has started to change how decisions are made. Teams now collect massive amounts of data on player movement, injuries, and performance, and AI can analyze all of it faster than any human ever could. At first, this seems like a clear upgrade. If teams can make smarter decisions, avoid injuries, and improve performance, why wouldn’t they use it? But the more AI becomes involved, the more it raises a bigger question. The article is not trying to argue that pencils are better than phones or computers, but instead explains why people are still drawn to something physical like writing with a pencil in a mostly digital world.
